WHO ARE WE?

Petite Amélie is a young brand that creates unique furniture and accessories for kids rooms. Thanks to timeless and well-thought designs, we help parents and parents-to-be create their own unique rooms for their children.

Today, our products are sold exclusively via our two webshops (www.petiteamelie.nl and www.petiteamelie.fr) and can be seen in our two concept stores (one in Bussum, The Netherlands and one near Paris, France). However, we work on international expansion and our products will be available in other countries soon.

To help support our ambitious growth, we are currently recruiting talented and ambitious people. Petite Amélie is located in Naarden right next to the train station ‘Naarden / Bussum’ (less than 30 minutes by train from Amsterdam Central Station).

Currently we have the following vacancies:

  1. Product Manager (32-40h)
  2. Administrative Support (16-24h)
  3. Online Store Manager International (Native English speaker) (min 24h)
  4. Online Store Manager Germany (Native German speaker) (min 24h)

 


VACANCY 1: Product Manager (32-40h)

WHAT WILL BE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY?

As a Product Manager, your main responsibility will be to manage and improve the current product range. Furthermore you will bring new products to the market, once they are designed by our creatives. You will be coordinating the whole process from beginning to end, making the liaison between external and internal parties.

 

More specifically you will:

 

  • Conduct market research and gather intelligence when required
  • Work together with suppliers to check feasibility of new products and adjust them if needed
  • Organize and validate samples as well quality tests if applicable
  • Develop relevant packaging materials (labels, boxes, etc.)
  • Support communication team by contributing to product launch plans (communication material & merchandising)
  • Monitor / improve product performance & safety

WHAT DOES OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE LOOK LIKE?

Above all, we are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic person who has a strong affinity with kids interior design!

 

Candidates should also:

 

  • Have 2-5 years experience in a similar function
  • Demonstrate excellent project management skills
  • Be pro-active and result driven
  • Show strong planning and organizational skills
  • Have a start-up mindset (hands-on, flexible)
  • Be able to work in an international environment
  • Speak fluent English (Polish is a plus)

VACANCY 2:  Administrative Support (16-24h)


WHAT WILL YOUR ROLE LOOK LIKE?

As we are a young and growing company, the job ‘Administative Assistant / Office Manager’ doesn’t exist in our company yet. That means you will get the opportunity to partly create and professionalize certain processes and shape your own job.

We are an international company with people from different nationalities. We currently have two entities: a Dutch BV and a French SARL. That means you will be working in an international environment. You will be the primary contact to both our French and Dutch Accountants.

More specifically you will..:

  • make sure our administration is always correct and up to date in cooperation with our accountants
  • you work on the quarterly financial reporting
  • book and process invoices, look after contracts, agreements etc.
  • manage some of the HR tasks
  • act as office manager
  • support the management with a variety of tasks

WHAT DOES OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE LOOK LIKE?

The ideal candidate we are looking for is an enthusiastic professional who enjoys working in an international environment. Candidates should also..:

  • have 2-5 years experience in a similar position
  • have an MBO degree or similar
  • be able to work independently
  • be pro-active
  • be accurate, discrete and professional
  • speak English and Dutch (Some understanding of French is a plus)
  • be able to work with Microsoft Office

VACANCY 3: Online Store Manager International (Native English speaker)


WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE?

Since a complete new business needs to be built, this is a truly exciting moment for you to go onboard!

As Online Store Manager International you will be responsible for the management and development of our .com international online shop (targeting the EU excluding Benelux, France & Germany), replicating the success we have built in the Netherlands and France.

 

More specifically you will:

 

  • Perform market research
  • Ensure optimum website content is created and put online (consumer relevant & SEO optimized)
  • Manage customer service
  • Develop local communication & promotional materials (from google ads campaigns to flyers)
  • Develop relevant partnerships with local bloggers, influencers, …
  • Monitor sales performance

As the only International representative in the team, you will have a large degree of autonomy and a big potential to grow within the role and the business. You will help on any topics that might develop related to the International European market.

 

WHAT DOES OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE LOOK LIKE?

We are looking for an ambitious and enthusiastic person with a strong affinity with kids interior design. Someone who is not afraid to start a business from scratch, is eager to learn and has the ability to work both at operational and strategic levels.

 

Candidates should also:

 

  • Be fluent in English (native speaker)
  • Demonstrate excellent writing skills
  • Have a strong commercial drive
  • Be able to work autonomously and show an entrepreneurial mindset
  • Be pro-active and result driven
  • Be flexible and polyvalent
  • Experience with e-commerce in general, Magento, online marketing and SEO is a +
